Andrealphus is here, willing to help, but Stolas knows he hates him; all the sweetness he's displaying now is fake.
It doesn't matter. Blitz isn't coming, and, right now, nothing matters more than having someone put out the fire consuming Stolas from within.

Stolas’s eyes were squeezed tightly shut, his fingers white-knuckling the ratty blankets. Blitzø bit his lip, but he was only able to contemplate waking him for a brief moment before a hurried banging on the door made his heart leap into his throat. His initial reaction was to dive for cover in a panic, thinking that they’d changed their minds and that Satan had come back for him - but no, the knock wasn’t aggressive.

He covers his face with a hand that trembles and Via bites her lip. She feels drained all of a sudden.
“Because he loves you, you asshole.” There is no heat in her voice. No anger. She is all out of anger again. It was nice while it lasted.
Blitzø stills and takes a shuddering breath. He whispers, low enough that she almost doesn’t hear the words and doesn’t know if she was supposed to hear them in the first place: “It terrifies me sometimes… The way your father loves with everything he has.”
