Summary
“Hey Scully, you alright there?” comes a concerned voice from the other side of the door.
She thinks about it carefully before answering. The water, a bit cooled now but still pleasantly warm, is covering her like a blanket, and the bubbles smell like Mulder’s ridiculous three-in-one shampoo. There is no wound in her chest, and the memory of the incident is fading like watercolors in the rain.
“Yeah, I'm good," she replies, and means it. -

Summary
Picks up at the end of S07x17 All Things, with Mulder tucking Scully up in his blanket, and also of the beginning of with Scully walking past a sleeping Mulder.
Scully thoughts and experiences in All Things warrant further discussion and communication. Perhaps they haven't really fully defined the relationship just yet, but there's a certain inevitability about where things are going, and how they've already happened. Scully finally feels that she's intentionally committing to the inevitability of this relationship, and she knows that if she was able to make her life choices again, she'd make the choices that lead her right back to Mulder.

Set in Season 7 between all things and post Brand X. After Mulder and Scully first have sex. To no one's surprise, they are not communicating about it well and Scully has to break the ice. A lot of nitty gritty character moments. A little bit funny, very sweet, and fairly explicit.
Stands on its own but also as a follow up to "Stay".

She saw a momentary flash of disappointment in his face, almost too slight to notice. It brought to mind the longing in his secret touch, his weight releasing up and off of the couch. The memory stirred in her a potent mix of despair and tingling possibility, a flush of desire that slipped through all of her filters. A single blazing thought was distilled. Impossibly, abruptly, she heard herself say it.
“Unless you want me to stay?”
Mulder and Scully's first time together, from Scully's POV. Takes place between the closing and opening scenes of all things.
