He doesn't know who he is anymore- or what he is. He only knows what he isn't; Asriel is gone, but what's left behind? He feels as though he's at a stalemate with himself. So he hides, quietly watching the world from afar, fearing that if he touches anything it'll crumble. (Although he can always undo it.)
From the very beginning, Papyrus is his favorite. Maybe it's because the skeleton is strong and cool, or maybe it's because of how entertaining he is, or maybe it's because he reminds him of his old best friend sometimes.
Or maybe it's because they are both so lonely.

As you knows Worldtale rapresent such a thing, from within the main cluster that Gaster use for experiments, but have you ever wondered why exactly such a thing happened? Or if you are here and have read this now you know the reality why Gaster is truly a danger, the man is to curious, and even if it seems he can see and listen everything, there are limits for him as well... This is a world that broke free before it was to late, Gaster couldn't control all of them, so Asriel has his way before it's to late... No real happy endings are in this story, monsters will be met with a tremendous time, characters will die and relationships won't see the light of day. (RIP. ALPHYNE) Even still you still want to see, to proceed and learn, well who am I to stop you? After all... It's not like your choices matter.
