“No problem, man,” Blau’s deep voice resounds as he takes Foolish's bait. Shoto’s skin gets covered in goosebumps. He sneaks a glance at the older man, hoping it goes unnoticed. “Next time you’ll have to pay for a ticket though.” Blau winks at Foolish, earning a mixture of groans and complaints from the entire table, except for one person.
Shoto remains silent. There seems to be something stuck in his throat. The image of Blau and that worker plays in his mind on repeat.

Having a wonderful evening, everything must always go south. While celebrating the "year-end demon feast", Voxanne decides to cause trouble with a certain demon slayer. Vox, of course, has no choice but to care for the small thing. But Shoto must always put up a fight with demons. Vox wonders if it is worth fighting for and knowing his mind, he thinks it's a wonderful idea. And he wishes to know more of this youthful demon slayer. Shoto on the other hand, wishes he had aborted himself because of this situation.

Mel stutters out a sentence that he doesn’t quite make sense of, busy priding himself on the fact that Vox just said he’s his boy. When Vox asks her to finish it all condescending-like, he smiles resentfully. The more that Vox streams with others, the less time he spends with Shoto, but the fact he’s acting like she’s nothing to him fills him with joy beyond description. Since Vox asked her to finish the statement, he’ll listen in on her words just this once. “Um, as an… A noble Dracula that you are… Um, um, uh.” He stares at her animated character a bit annoyed. Spit it out, he thinks. “Would you ever…en-en-enslave him?”
He’s so busy fussing and being flustered over the statement that he doesn’t hear the rest of what’s said. That is, until, when Vox says, “If I had the opportunity? Of course.” That only riles him up even further, “Do you think you have that opportunity?” He can feel Vox smiling through the screen; It’s a strange talent to have, but he’s happy to have it nonetheless, “I mean, I don’t think- I don’t think he’d say no if I was able to ask him in private but you know, we’ll see.”

“No!” Shoto’s eyes widen in incredulity and his mouth presses into a hard line. He glares, "You know that’s not what I meant. Just take me there, you bitch."The detective sighs excessively, but before he can retort, Shoto's head lowers to rest on Mysta's shoulder.
The demon slayer's tone softens.

Shoto gulps at that as he opens his mouth to speak, cheeks coloring a brilliant scarlet as the only thing that leaves him is an amalgamation of little choked noises that only makes the upward curl of the stranger’s lip more prominent - clearly amused by his shortcomings. Shoto doesn’t know if he wants to kiss him or slap it right off his face.
