This story entails a LOT of a paranoid, snappy Papyrus, and a worried but equally snappy Sans. Neither are perfect, but they're both trying to adjust to life on the surface, and it's a bit hard when Papyrus suddenly starts behaving oddly. He avoids his friends, especially Frisk, misses work (which he loved up until now), and much more to come. This is not going to be a very happy fic at first, but I promise there's a happy ending and some sweet moments sprinkled in-between for my own sanity.

NOTE TO EVERY FORMER READER THAT STARTED READING THIS BEFORE IT WAS ALL DELETED: I'm currently rewriting what I had started with as it was all very incorrect when it came to realism and mental health issues as I had not portrayed any of them exactly correct and I'm sorry for that. It had been pointed out to me by another one of my readers and they are/were helping me with rewriting and giving more depth to the character.
Thank you all for being patient and understanding.
I'm sorry if you all really liked the other version but I didn't want to portray anything incorrectly, especially regarding mental health problems I don't deal with and have no experience with. I would much rather rewrite everything to be able to portray them realistically than go on with the story with incorrect information. -

Hi. So, I have no idea what I'm doing here, but I did a thing and I figured I would share it with the world. Terrible idea? Probably, but it is too late now!
As you may have guessed this is a mafia alternate universe of undertale following the excitement and Adventures of the reader, Y/n, and Sans as well as their many other friends. The story takes place in an alternate 1920s City above the underground, to which the monsters have been freed from long before these events take place. In an era of racism, jazz and prohibition, monsters and humans alike do what they have to do to get by.
