This is a story in which Obi-Wan Kenobi is only three years older than Anakin Skywalker.
In this story, Obi-Wan is destined to be a Jedi, but spends his early life as a slave, not joining the Order until age 12.
He is raised by Anakin’s parents in the desert sands of Tatooine.
He is a padawan first to Dooku, then to Qui-Gon Jinn.
He becomes a Jedi Knight, Jedi Master, and a general, all by age 22.
He is the Chosen One, and at an age far too young, he becomes known as the, “Sith Killer.”(NOTE: I have stopped using block quotes)

Victorious, Imperator Anakin Skywalker refuses to relinquish his command and demobilize his troops on the orders of the Senate. The Republic is corrupt, and its Senators fear what he might accomplish. Never mind, if they wanted to oppose him so badly, he would give them a reason to be afraid.
He would show them what power was, and he would let no one stand in his way, not even that scheming former General who only lived because Anakin owed a debt to his father.
He would bend them all to his will or crush them.

“It’s a miracle that you survived,” Master Che tells him before nearly every treatment, her last farewell before she dunks him in a bacta tank for Force knows how long. “A weaker man wouldn’t have.”
“Your burns are healing nicely,” one of the assistants says when he’s pulled from the tank again and again, groggy and tingling. “We should be able to fit you for your prosthetics soon.”
Or: Anakin gets injured a few years early and it saves the galaxy.
