Some weeks ago greencheekconure27 on Tumblr (DimeRamoVerde) posted an idea. What if Willow...but Star Trek? My brain exploded and before I knew it I had six pages of plot points and character notes and plans to tell the story of the Willow 2022 tv series in a Star Trekian universe.
This...is not that story. It's a prequel to that story, that I accidently started writing instead of the story I'd spent days brainstorming. I sent all my work to greencheekconure27 prior to posting, since this was their idea, for their seal of approval and it is now ready to be shared.

"I Found a Moment to Be Brave (so I let her know)" Analysis:
Really liked this. It showed some backstory for our annoying oblivious pair and I love it.
EDIT AFTER CHAPTER 5: THIS WAS SO GOOD- I'M CRYING- I LOVE THEM.
Okay, I have calmed down-
First of all, the author is an amazing writer and I have never gotten so much inspiration to write from a fic before. Each sentence felt so thought out and well put together I was completely baffled while reading it. For real whisper-shouting "HOW DO YOU EVEN THINK OF THIS???-" at my wall- Not to mention the flow of things! It was just truly amazing.
That aside, let's move to the characters. I loved it all.
Kit.. Just- ..The way she was written, I.. I loved it. The way they dwelled deeper into Kit's insecurities and doubt. And her trauma with Mads leaving. Same with her not always having that egotistical and cocky facade and actually showing her emotions around people she trusts. Really wish got more of that in the show because it all makes the story following it make so much more sense. Her and Jade's history as well. (Though I do get that the story isn't about Kit, I still would've loved a bit more backstory and opening up. Guess we waiting for season two in that department-)
And Jade- Jade is just very well done here. I loved the way they focused on just how far she's willing to go for Kit. (Same the other way around. I have never squealed so much while reading in my life-) And just how much she cares. But also just how passionate she is about her training and need to help people and be respectful to everyone.
And I also love the way the author shows that they aren't perfect. No relationship is. All have their mishaps and lapses in judgement sometimes. But they talk through it. Show that they are there for each other. That part was just beautifully written.
And Ballentine! He is just such a dad. He's giving INTENSE Joel energy but with a bit less trauma. I love him. And I especially love him and Jade.
I like that Sorscha is a bit more like her original self in the movie. I feel like she would've understood Kit's situation a lot more than it was shown in the show. (Bc of literally marrying Mad Martigan-) But I also do get what she's trying to do, but I also just think it's not worth it. There are pros and cons to what she wants to make Kit do and I think she misjudged just how much each con counted. Even IF there were more pros in this situation (Which there most likely weren't anyway.), the pros definitely aren't worth the cons' true weight. And number one is risking her relationship with her daughter. That's never worth the risk.
Either way, not sure if I said everything I wanted to but it was for sure most of it, but it is currently 7 AM on a Saturday and my head feels like it's gonna explode soo-
