Catra's life in Scrap City is dull. The repair shop she is running is doing just fine, her nightly break-ins are doing better. The one supplying the tips is an annoying bitch, but as long as Catra delivers, there are no actual complaints. The contact with Zalem, the city floating above their heads, is restricted to a minimum but one day, a seemingly rich, cute blonde appeares in her shop. Clearly, she is lost and shouldn't be in this place but she leaves a lump sum of money in the store which gives Catra's agent a new target to rob at night. Summary
Adora and Catra both play for one of the top professional soccer teams in the world FC Horde. They joined the team's academy team when they were thirteen and eventually signed professionally when they were seventeen. Over the course of three and a half seasons, they've worked their way up to the bench and earning sporadic minutes on the field.
After Adora plays well against the Horde's bitter rivals the Bright Moon Alliance, she suddenly finds herself as the new "face of the team" and possibly the Eternian National Team as well. Unfortunately, after sustaining an injury, her career may be in jeopardy. Doubtful that she will return, she is transferred to Bright Moon.
(Or a professional soccer AU that is about more than just soccer! Basically a slice-of-life modern AU that is happens to occur in a world where both Adora and Catra are professional soccer players. Do not worry if you don't understand soccer, I will put general terms and stuff in the author's notes!)

Many short, mostly discontinuous scenes encompassing before, during and after the canonical series. The scenes are arranged into themed acts, and in chronological order. Before the story will be a preface, detailing the layout of the story, and a skeleton timeline.
This is essentially a story about losing control. It is Catra-centric, bittersweet in general tone, and there are consistently several narrative threads running at once (i.e. keeping track of the story requires some brain space).
I would say it's a 20:70:10 split of fluff : angst : other.
