As summer fast approaches, every station on the line is filled with flowers. But unfortunately, Percy hasn’t had time to enjoy it all as he’s been stuck at the harbor, shunting fish trucks all day. Percy is too tired to even care about an upcoming Festival of Flowers as well as a friendly competition between all the stations to decide on the “Best Dressed Station”.
Groggy and irritated, Percy lashes out at Toby, hurting his friend’s feelings. The next morning, Percy has a run in with a hungry little ram and gets caught up in an incident at Maithwaite Station. Will Percy solve the mystery of the destroyed decorations and make amends with Toby, or is Maithwaite destined to be the ‘best messed station’?

After forming their alliance, Thomas and Gordon make their way back home, only to find everyone excited over a special event; the newly crowned Queen of England herself is coming to visit the Island. With Gordon still in disgrace, Henry gets rather cocky, stating that he’ll pull the Royal Train for sure. But will he get in over his headlamp?
Meanwhile, Gordon isn’t taking the constant reminder of his mistakes well and Thomas even starts to feel sorry for him. The little tank engine tries his hardest to help his new ally earn the Express back but with everything going on, it’s easier said than done. Will Gordon get to pull coaches again? Will he help Thomas to get his branch line back? And who will pull the Royal Train?
