This AU is about the ideas of human treatment of 'living machines'. Yes, they are more alive than in cannon, I roughly base them on the theory of siliconic life. However, even though they are more alive than just machines with faces, they are totally different from carbonic life (humans, animals, plants etc.). This is the first chapter of the AU, focuses on Diesel being mistreated. Warning of mild abuse and alcohol usage. There will be several relationships and fun stuff also... possible of some supernatural activity... All in the next chapters, so please come for the ride.

Summary
The Island of Sodor is busier than ever before, and all the engines are excited for all the popularity and attention the North Western Railway has been getting as of late. Thomas can’t help but be excited that he and his friends’ efforts are helping to make the island famous. But on a very busy day indeed, one mishap leads to another and engine after engine is getting put out of action. The docks are a mess, the diesel engines are trapped, and connections to the Mainland are cut off! Worse still, word is going around that an infamous railway inspector is going around and giving reviews so harsh that they threaten to close down railways.
Tired, but determined, Thomas plans to rally his really useful friends together to prove that Sir Topham Hatt’s railway is the best railway around. But things keep going from bad to worse by the hour. Will Thomas and his friends get everything back in order once again by morning, or will they crack under pressure and let the North Western Railway down?

Bizarre circumstances bring back together a pair of twins whose past was with a subway system in another world. One has long since forgotten his brother, while the other endured separation for several years. However, both are now miraculously together on a new railway, taking up positions as driver and guard. Is this situation the chance for latter brother to finally reunite with his twin? Their presence on the railway coincides with the arrival of a peculiarly minded American caboose who assimilates into a new workplace on the east side of the Atlantic.
