She accepted the fact that her life ended when John died. She accepted that for every happy memory they had, it would always be soured by the fact that he left her. That no promise in the world he could make her could have prepared her for this. He left her on her own. She's left with every bit of him. She doesn't have room for anyone else.
Moving on was completely foreign, out of the picture. Impossible.

According to popular belief — including the belief of the man himself — The Doctor should've been the last living survivor of his species, the Gallifreyans.
However, none could've known the fierce, unconditional, paternal love a certain Gallifreyan had for his daughter. He was the planet's most renowned engineer — best known to be the creator of TARDIS in particular.
So, moments after sirens started to blare and signal the news of Daleks invading their planet — their home, the Time Lord engineer shoved his three‐hundred-year-old protegé into his latest prototype and forced it to jump.
The young adult Time Lord inside the TARDIS, whose title was feared by certain races, would later found herself stranded in Sol-3.

(It's strange," Mickey says, and Jake hums.
"What is?" He asks distantly, mind still electric with everything that happened in the last day. Just a day? God, things change fast. Like the man sitting next to him, wearing his dead friend's face but so utterly different inside, as his next sentence proves.
"The zeppelins. We don't have them back home. It's like something from a movie, some war time black and white thing you see on the television on Thursdays." Mickey cranes his head back as one drifts directly overhead. "I've stood on spaceships millions of miles from Earth with a French horse, and yet this is the most unbelievable thing I've seen. Zeppelins in London! You've got to be kidding." He laughs in disbelief and Jake is choked with sudden, bruising nostalgia. How many times has he sat on the roof of this van with Ricky, talking about anything and nothing? And this is different, yeah, so different it hurts, but what hurts even more is the ways it's similar.)

The first thing Jake does is take care of the body. He has to drive around a little bit, in part to dodge the police—he's out past curfew, after all—and in part because he felt uncomfortable asking Mickey "by the way, where did you watch yourself die?"
No. Not yourself. They're different people; he has to remember that, has to get the knowledge in his veins as quickly as he can. But he can imagine that to Mickey, it felt like watching himself die. Same face. Can't have been easy. Mickey's been holding up remarkably well under the circumstances. Or maybe he's like Jake, just waiting for the right moment to fall apart.

The Doctor and Rose Tyler. A story told all across the universe. But only they know the true tale. We follow the unlikely Time Lord and Human duo as they travel across the stars stumbling over what they mean to one another and saving worlds as they do so.
This fic is canon compliant and will follow the episodes up to a point where the tale then diverges in the interest of a certain time travelling duo. Original in-between-the-episodes stories turn out to be the main feature of this fic, (it wasn't my first intention but its where the writing went) but they stay true to the show and the characters they involve, plus they help this pair finally admit their feelings. Though admitting ones feelings is never as simple as it sounds.
