Higurashi Kagome just wants to go home.
It's a typical New Years Eve for Kagome, who works as a hostess in a bar. It's mostly quiet, mostly boring, save for a few stragglers who refuse to leave the bar and happen to be very interested in her. When she tries to refuse their offers to join them, a mysterious (and handsome) silver-haired man comes to her rescue. Kagome learns that he's on a quest to save himself and his family from the time terrorist Naraku, and he has to travel through time and space to do so. She can't help but be drawn to the man, and insists on joining him in his quest. But Kagome and the silver-haired man quickly realize that, in "all of time and space, [between] everything that ever happened or ever will," it's very hard to figure out where to start.

When they entered the small shop, both were captivated with what was inside.
