The scattered guests who linger in the hallways all resemble people from Alex’s past, yet betray no hint of recognition upon meeting his gaze. Echoes of Miles follow him around like a ghost, disappearing long before Alex can hold him in his arms.
As the events unfolding around him become more and more unexplainable, Alex must use what's left of his fragile wits to uncover Tranquility Base’s mysteries and plan his escape, before the hotel destroys his sanity and ensnares him within its walls forever...

This little story came into being because of three obvious prerequisites: 1. Baby Monkeys were the cutest band in the world 2. Especially Baby Alex 3. Indie bands get drunk from time to time -> Conclusion: At least once, Baby Alex must have got too tipsy to walk back to the tourbus, so his equally tipsy friends had to take care of him. Further conclusion: It must have been very adorable :)-

A smirk breaks across Alex's expression, his eyes move from Miles's, to the ground, then back to Miles's again.
"There's nowhere to hide up there y'know," he tugs at the front of his jacket, a deep blue Adidas windbreaker, further shielding himself from the crisp January air, his gaze settles a bit as he sighs, "So I just hide behind the noise."

A fast forming friendship between Alex and Miles takes a turn after a range of sleepless nights, shared cigarettes, loud music and a bar fight.
