He doesn’t know what he expected, really, in letting Ray Person into his home for the summer, but it’s three days now since he showed up on his doorstep, with a black eye he wouldn’t acknowledge, a beaten-up Nike gym bag on his shoulder and his junker parked in the driveway, this apologetic, morose expression on his dumb Muppet face, and well, the Iceman melted faster than a snow cone on the sidewalk when he asked if he could stay for a little while. Brad likes to think he would have done the same for any of his men, but hasn’t thought about it too deeply. Hell, he hasn’t had time to, since he invited the human hurricane into his home for a vaguely defined amount of time.
Ray turns up on Brad's doorstep uninvited and stays for the summer. Brad, once completely opposed to the idea of having anyone invade his personal space, is shocked to discover how little he minds this change in circumstances.
