-His eyes snapped open as he heard a voice he loves so much.
“Mr. Hero, you out here?”
Quickly, he swims to the surface of the water and pulls himself out, sitting on the edge of the pond keeping his tail in. He was greeted by Ravio’s sweet face smiling down at him.
“About time you got back, what took you so long?!” Link huffed angrily, though there was no heat behind his angered tone.
Ravio smirked and used that snarky tone of his, “Well there was a sale going on in Castle Town and there was no way I was going to miss it.” He said as he put the back of his hand to his forehead being all dramatic.
Of course there was, he’s all about saving rupees but also scamming people of all of theirs.
“So,” Ravio started, back to his regular sweet tone he only used for Link.
And any animal he found adorable.
“Was it starting to become that irritating?” He asked in a genuine voice.

Summary
The Kingdom of Hyrule has fallen. The Zora Domain will provide sanctuary, but the Crown Princess must cross Central Hyrule which is crawling with soldiers loyal to the usurper. The only safe path of egress is through the Depths.
The Depths are impossible to traverse without the Ferryman: a being who will guide lost souls to their destination for a price. He may ask for anything ranging from a cooking pot to one’s firstborn child.
“Firstborn child?” Zelda asks. “Sure! When do we start?”
To everyone’s horror, the Ferryman smiles.

Summary
When Ganondorf, Prince of the Gerudo was born, he was the twin brother of Lady Riju. However, he was younger, and Riju was the Gerudo Chief, with her brother as her right hand man. While his sister has Urbosa's power over lightning, he had the ability to learn new spells, as well as his control over the sands and earth. During BotW, he was studying under an old acquaintance of his mother. Now, in the aftermath of TotK, he has returned. The Master Sword is stronger than ever before, Zelda is Queen, and Link has begun to take on a new career, dedicating his life to studying the Calamity and the past and the Depths and the Sky Islands. But now, things are changing, and corruption is returning to the world, but Ganondorf isn't the cause, and there's a voice out there that seems to be calling him.
Or Link accidentally touches an ancient artifact that forces his body to be the the vessel for the Demon Calamity, the son of the Demon King Demise, and everything goes to shit. Don't worry though, Hylia made Link and Ganondorf swap Triforce pieces, so everything's fine, not that many people will die lol.

The castle is fucking floating. Link is supposed to be relishing in the peace he pried from destiny’s uncaring grip but now the castle is fucking floating. Why can't he ever catch a goddamned break?
TOTK but the Depths are further utilized, the Gloom attack has lasting effects on Link's health, and the sky islands are actually interesting (oh, and Link is dying lol). This is by no means a full rewrite. You will be confused if you have not played the game.

“How do you feel?” the Zora pressed after a very long moment, rocking forward just a little, eyes wide with worry. Her hands and arms were painted in soul paint of varying shades and colors, all plainly visible in her loose outfit. There was one particular streak of grass green on one of her palms, one that felt somehow intimately familiar.
Link blinked at her, and discovered that his mouth didn’t want to speak the way hers did. His hands moved to do it instead, as if on instinct. I feel tired. What happened? Where are we?
“We’re in the Shrine of Resurrection,” the Gerudo interrupted, sweeping in beside the Zora and setting a firm hand on her arm. Her eyes were narrow and uncompromising, though still, Link thought, warm. There was a child-sized smear of bright sunshine yellow soul paint on her cheek, and just a few scattered over her hands. “It’s no wonder you feel tired, you’ve been through quite an ordeal. But it’s time to get back to work.”
Link blinked at her, blankly bemused.
Who are you? he asked, in signs he seemed to recall only as he used them.

It varied a little between kingdoms, but for Hylians, there were four major scent glands: one on each wrist, and another just below the jaw on each side of the neck. Correspondingly, Link wore two thin metal cuffs and a choker with a small pendant, each one engraved with an array of Sheikah runes.
A lot of people asked why Link dampened his scent until he smelled of nothing at all. He’d never seen a reason to give them an answer.
Despite this, no one ever seemed to have difficulty identifying Link as an alpha. It was in the confident way he carried himself, in his unflinching gaze, the lack of hesitation in everything he did. It didn’t matter that his stature was short and delicate; there were plenty of alphas twice his size with half his quiet authority. That he never got caught up in territorial spats or lost his cool around an omega in heat just meant that he had excellent self-control.
The truth, of course, was that Link was broken. Wasn’t that what everything boiled down to?

Summary
Link brought a lot of things back with him from the future: ancient weaponry, warnings and foreknowledge, all of his armor and elixirs and stockpiled supplies. All of that was invaluable to the group of survivors working determinedly to reclaim Hyrule from the hands of the encroaching Calamity.
He also brought his fear of guardians, and he can't stop looking at the guardian egg's glowing blue eye.

Summary
The first fight against the Calamity leaves Link permanently disabled, in constant pain, and dogged with nightmares and insecurity. The second fight has fewer permanent effects, but when it still leaves him all but bedridden for weeks, Zelda goes to Impa for help while he recovers.
Link doesn't want to. Impa has never been there for him before, so why should now be any different?
