Zelda grew up in the tranquil Kakariko Village, raised by Impa, and unaware of her royal lineage. Link, the son of a knight, grew up in Hateno Village, raised to follow in his father's footsteps and one day set to travel to Castle Town to fulfill his duty. Ganondorf sought his rightful place as the Gerudo Chief; his greed sent him on a path to find the Triforce and rule above all of Hyrule. Their destinies intertwine with the fate of Hyrule falling upon them.

Summary
The Calamity strikes, and the Hero falls. 100 years later, he awakens into a world that hates him. He travels around, in the company of a strange wolf, trying to atone for his failure. He succeeds. He defeats the Calamity, but he still fails, in the end. He was too late, and Zelda dies as he fights. Months later, when he is wandering the wilds of Hyrule, a portal opens, and eight strangers fall out, asking him to join them on a quest.

As the two kids live their lives peacefully, tales of adventures and tragedies in the past resurface to the attention of those in Hyrule as a shadow slowly casts itself once again. Will there be a hero to slay the darkness yet again, or will this be the end to the history of Hyrule?

Basically I wanted to make more of a backstory for the characters in the memories in Tears of the Kingdom.

Link is the Prince of Hyrule. Although the kingdom has never had a Prince as it's heir, he has proven himself worthy. With a civil war brewing slowly, the kingdom of Hyrule is glad to have its Prince's WISDOM.
Ganondorf is the only man in the Gerudo tribe. The land of Hyrule fears him, as those who have worn his name have tried to bring about the end of the world. Despite this, he stands strong for his people, the embodiment of COURAGE.
Sheik, like the rest of her people, is a defender of the Hylian royal family. The Shiekah have lead the royal guard for as long as anyone can remember. When Sheik becomes the royal family's personal knight, the world becomes aware of the POWER she possesses.
The Triforce gets swapped around, Hyrule is on the brink of war, and the spirit of Demise can never be stopped. Takes place right before the Hyrulean civil war before Ocarina of Time, and takes inspiration from Skyward Sword and Breath of the Wild/Tears of the Kingdom.
