Bill Cipher can always see into Ford's mind, tormenting his dreams and making sure he stays loyal. His waking hours are consumed by building the portal and his moments of sleep are dedicated to entertaining his muse. He has no private life, no private thoughts. Seeing how tormented he has become, another entity who's been watching over him gives him a gift, albeit fickle and temporary: a peaceful night where his mind is allowed to wander and dream whatever it wants, free of judgement. In other words, protection. But something keeps trying to tear down the walls and break in.

Two years after weirdmageddon, and two years since bill was sentenced to the theraprism, he's finally getting somewhere with his therapist. Well. As much as he can. He still needs a lot of work. Out of options and frankly tired, his therapist decides maybe he needs to face the root of the problem head on and make amends with the pines family. Hes sent to live with them against his will in order to try to better himself anyway he can. The problem: he wasn't expecting to see any of them ever again. Especially ford. He's not exactly ready to face them just yet, especially in a state where he's far less powerful than the last time they met.

But when he came back to the mystery shack and found no sign of his Grunkles along with the weirdness in gravity falls amping up with more chaos than before. Him, his sister, Soos, and a few of their old friends have to figure out what's going on
And what's with this journal that he found along with an odd computer giving cryptic messages to him whenever he types in a new code or word into it. He has to learn more but when he found the things it came with specific instructions not to show this to anyone, not even his sister.
