"You are?" Simon couldn't quite contain his confusion.
"Yeah." He got a nod in reply. "Because..." The other steps closer. "I wanted to ask you something. I was gonna do it the other night at the wafflehouse, but I was just...too chickenshit."
Why was Simon feeling both nervous and excited?
The other was clearly nervous, though why he didn't know.
Then a laugh.
"I guess there is something you like better than Halloween Oreos."
Simon's eyes widened and the words left his lips sooner than he could restrain himself.
"Blue?"
