Nights ending in Gavin's kitchen at Gavin's apartment were becoming progressively more common the longer Nines worked with the detective. Even if the human was beginning to catch Nines in the act with his stolen glances and staring and appreciating. All it took was a drink or two, enough to loosen them both up, and a kissing game to take this where they both desperately wanted.

After "taking care" of one Dr. Angus Bumby in Whitechapel, Alice Liddell decided her best course of action would be to quietly move across the Atlantic to Los Angeles, California in search of a fresh start. Unfortunately for her, it ended up more of a fresh end after one of the local Malkavians decided she just had to join his clan of vampires. Now, thrown into the dark underworld of the city at a very interesting time in its history, Alice has to navigate the politics of the native Kindred, get down and dirty with a variety of strange and unusual quests, and keep herself from either losing her humanity or whatever remains of her life. Good thing she has Wonderland on her side. . .and this one young man whose life she saved after he got hit by a car. . .
A fusion crossover of Vampire: the Masquerade - Bloodlines, American McGee's Alice, and Corpse Bride, with Alice as the (more erudite, better-dressed) Malkavian Fledgling of the first, set after the (modernized up to 2004) events of the latter two. Expect things to work mostly how they do in the video game, except for where I like another idea better.

Almost on it's own volition, my hand was raised to her forehead, brushing away the unruly golden locks and gently tucking them behind her ear. When my eyes returned to meet her's, I was faced with an unbelievable magnetism. Was this some sort of kindred discipline? Had my unalive heart began beating again?

Having history can mean more to a person than anything else. Growing up in the great depression followed by WWII can cast a very long shadow for one Malkavian. Luckily a certain Brujah is not giving up on her or his beliefs. This story follows Nines through the eyes of a lifetime friend and lover. Even if those eyes are driven mad by the Malkavian Madness Network.
