He couldn't help but notice how utterly exhausted they looked. It didn't seem like they just weren’t getting enough sleep, it seemed deeper than that.
Shane knew that feeling all too well. That’s probably why he recognized it before anyone else did. The townspeople probably all bought their excuse of “just being tired” but Shane knew it went deeper than that.

He wouldn’t let his dumb anxiety get in the way of his goal, trying to cheer up the Farmer by any means necessary. And if that meant dancing with them alone in the woods while wearing chicken socks, then so be it.(OR, Farmer is sad so Shane devises a plan to make them feel better)
