Summary
Con Chris desaparecido, Adrian se está desmoronando.
Normalmente solía pasar sus celos con su mejor amigo pero ahora, sin la prescencia de este, su omega interior lo está llevando al borde del colapso conforme su celo se aproxima y las esperanzas de encontrar a Chris se desvanecen poco a poco.
Todo estalla cuando un aroma familiar inunda sus sentidos: madera, pólvora y hierro. Es el aroma de Chris, y su cuerpo desesperado, entra en celo casi al instante.
Pero la fuente del aroma es una cruel ironía del destino: se trata de Rip Jagger, su compañero de trabajo.
Humillado y vulnerable, Adrian espera el desprecio pero en su lugar, encuentra una oferta inesperada: calmar su sufrimiento, de forma respetuosa y sin reclamos. Tentado por un aroma que le recuerda a todo lo que ha perdido, Adrian acepta este consuelo temporal en vez de dejarse consumir por un dolor que podría ser eterno.

Summary
Adrian discovers he is pregnant four months after Chris has been called out to a no-contact mission which ends up lasting for five years. He's left to raise the child on his own, with no idea when his alpha would return, or if he would return alive. But Adrian is nothing but optimistic, that he will finally get to introduce the two to each other for the first time. Then he finds how hard it really is, and just hopes its all gonna be worth it.
