It's 2039, and androids and humans have learned to live together again in Detroit. After the peaceful revolution Markus led, there was no longer fear between humans and androids. That is, until, androids begin going missing and returning damaged or an amalgamation of what they once were. Connor and Hank have been fine on their own, but when a new android comes to town to help, everything is flipped upside down. The new and improved RK900 has been assigned to the missing androids case, but Connor feels that that's not the only reason he's here.

Yet, here he was, standing in front of the packaging of an RD400 and listening to the saleswoman give a synopsis on its functions.

When deviancy cases rise Cyberlife is willing to do whatever it takes to stop it. And in this case whatever it takes is a tall android that takes on the appearance of an old man. The newest prototype the RK800 is sent to the DPD after a successful first mission. However, will he be able to keep up with his anxious workaholic partner?
Essentially this is just a retelling of Detroit Become Human but with Connor as the DPD Lieutenant and Hank as the android sent by Cyberlife. The characters are VERY OOC because of the new places they take.
I wrote this for fun and figured it would be fun to post it. Title is a reference to Language of the Lost
The events follow the games VERY closely and some dialogue is similar if not the same to the games. I only take creative ownership of the unique stuff I added

She took care of their son who struggled from a car accident which caused him to suffer intense trauma. The family was known for being a lovely family but behind closed doors, it was nothing like that. Claire was often mistreated for taking too long to do something, making an accidental mistake, or from just being an android.
Due to Claire’s programming, she always took care of any animal she would run into. She has run away from the family before to retreat to a park where she brought a bag of bread to feed the birds with. Animals being her found family. The family had a Beagle named Chip. Chip was also treated poorly by said family.
One night, Claire got in the middle of a fight between the Mr and Mrs. This lead to KL900 to have troubling hearing through her left ear. That night, Claire took Chip and left. Then started her journey with Chip without being told what to do. -

He was starting to plan on quietly disappearing just as soon as this serial killer case was solved. Even then, he wondered why he was sticking around. It was not like anyone actually needed or wanted him. Then he woke up, a captive of the suspect and its crazy experimentations. He had wanted to disappear, but not like this.
The torture shocked his mind, giving Gavin visions to escape into. A glimpse into the lives of others like him. Maybe, just maybe, before he died he could find hope again.

It looks like a small LED circle, that goes from blue to yellow the moment he asks.
“An external feedback biocomponent present in all Cyberlife androids, Sir,” She informs, as if it’s some sort of common knowledge, before continuing in the same light and pleasant tone that all store workers wish they could maintain, “How else may I be of service? Would you like a menu?”
“I’m good,” He replies absently with a slight frown, “What city are we in?”
“New York City, Sir.”
“Right, right- and the date?” He goes on with no small amount of confusion.
“May 10th, 2032.”

They called it post-traumatic amnesia, but to you, it felt more like a “vast, fucking black hole in your brain”. Waking up surrounded by concerned faces in pristine white scrubs, it was like being dropped in a damn sci-fi movie that you hadn't signed up for.
You told yourself that it could not possibly get any worse until two police officers showed up. Chocolate eyes scanning you intently, as if they could see right through you.
“Greetings, my name’s Connor. I’m the…”, he marked a pause, his LED spinning yellow, “…Detective assigned to every android-related case. You might not remember, but you have been found at a crime scene.”
Well, that sure was one hell of a way to wake up.
