Following the events of Earthbound, the Pigmasks open a portal to Dalaam from the future, and the major powers of the world quickly ally with them for their technology. Prince Poo attacks the Pigmasks and vanishes, starting a war between Dalaam and the Pigmasks. This leaves Jeff, Paula, and Ness to navigate through the college as their university and country back up Pigmask military expansion into Dalaam. And soon, they get hints that the Pigmasks have something even more sinister planned.
