She thinks of Enid's vanilla strawberry mix shampoo. The one that is so ridiculously Enid that Wednesday has learned to distinguish it from anyone else. She thinks of it, and thinks of the small of decay. She thinks about the two scents mixing to create a horrifying new smell. She thinks how the latter would overpower the former.
She realizes the inevitability of it.
Enid will die.

Tech bristles, just as Hunter expected, and a part of him wants it. He aches for a fight, for some way of letting out the tension, a way of easing the hurt and the grief. They weren’t trained to handle emotions. Hunter doesn’t know how to process everything he’s feeling and pushing it all down to deal with later only works for so long.
