“Oh, no. Not anymore. Well, I don’t think so. I got chased off the planet so I assume not.”
Ace laughed, “Chased off the planet?! What did you do this time?
The Doctor looked uncomfortable. “I-I kinda sorta,” Her expression was pained, “Forced the general to regenerate, broke the laws of time and death, and stole another TARDIS,” She finished in a rush. All four of her companions gaped at her. No one said anything for a moment but then Ace doubled over with laughter. The Doctor looked offended, which just made Ace laugh harder.
(OR: The Doctor has hurt Ace a lot over the years with her lies and manipulations. She refuses to do so again. Ace's presence in the TARDIS and her leading questions forces the Doctor to open up about the past 1700 years.)

"The Master had been planning this ever since the Doctor told him—well, her—about O while chatting in the vault. It had been purely hypothetical back then, of course. Missy had genuinely tried to be good, but being good was boring and being in the vault was even more so, thus she started coming up with diabolical schemes just to entertain herself. She had even gone so far as to look him up, memorizing every detail of his face in order to construct some sort of disguise. And then she was shot in the back by her own past self, and woke up with O’s face."
Basically how the Master got from being killed as Missy to betraying the Doctor as O in Spyfall, with some 11/O in the middle.
