Lottie prays beside her, sees visions in the red moon, and promises she won’t let Natalie bear it alone.

There’s a point passed the pain and the fear and the eventuality of the end; a single moment when everything slows to stop; when the flashes of the years, months, weeks, days, hours, minutes, seconds that made up your life pull away from you, falling further in the depth while a heavy stillness crawls over you, holding onto you as those moments of the life that was yours to live, to cherish, and to suffer fade into a single flicker. The quiet, the emptiness that follows is almost a comfort as you realize that this is it: all the days lived, the smiles had, and the tears shed, all the hurts and all the joy and this, this single moment of nothingness, is it.
The punchline to the cruel joke that was Jackie Taylor’s life, that all the things she thought were important and the things she dismissed as not amounted to the same in the end.

I can't think of a good summary right now. I wanted to do a solo D&D story but didn't feel like making characters so here I am again using the Yellowjackets as character skeletons. That being said, the story will be nowhere near paralleling the show aside from occasional plot alignments.
Keep in mind that I set up and played all of this, letting the dice decide where this story goes. Even as both the writer and the DM, I am not fully in control of the bullshitery that D&D offers. I also may have a gambling problem but that's not important.Warning for violence against animals, graphic descriptions of violence, and Shauna Shipman.

She felt... weirdly good. Every punch was like she was punching her own anger away, every dip of blood like she was feeding off of it like she needs it to live. At some point, she didn't even know if her hands were covered in Lottie's blood or in hers. It had been such an intense moment that she could barely see or hear anything. She just punched, punched and punched, until Lottie passed out on the floor and she couldn't move her arms anymore.
That's when she realised what she'd done.
Her hands are still aching. Like a ghost of what happened is still there with her, filling up her mind with guilt and a intense sensation of gratefulness. Gratefulness for being helped, for being taken out of her cage of sadness and anger. And guilt for hurting so badly the only person in that cabin who seems to actually see her.

Shauna wants to make it up to Lottie after beating her up, and now she'll do anything she can to return the favor.

This one shot sort of explores what might have happened if the Yellowjackets had never crashed, and Shauna's Wilderness Baby, whom I've dubbed Jackson, had survived. The main plot is older teen timeline JackieShauna, but this fic was imagined because I wondered what it would be like if Shauna's son had lived.
