Apollo’s trials had ended two months ago now, and in the time since it ended, he had quickly become a constant and familiar face at Camp Half-Blood. He has spent time with all of the residents, and not just his own kids. The kids at the camp have quickly grown to love having him around and absolutely adore him, and they would willingly die for him at this point. This being said, they will smite anyone who dares hurt him or make him cry. Apollo, unfortunately, fails to see this, and deep down thinks they all are just pretending to like him. This thinking, however, ends today, starting with the arrival of a new camper.

Meg stepped closer and poked Apollo’s shoulder to get his attention, and Apollo flinched.
That was wrong. Apollo never flinched when she touched him. Usually, it was the other way around, Meg trying to escape any and all touch, and Apollo seeking it. He hugged his children and friends often and unapologetically, even though he seldom did so with her. But he never, never flinched away from touch.

Apollo glared through a window at the harsh light of his own sun, feeling his power rolling off of his skin. Lightning bubbled in his veins, and he struggled to temper it. His hands came up to rub at his temples, the agony of an injury not entirely his pulling his attention away.
"Breathe, breathe," he quietly reminded himself. It was imperative that none of the others realized exactly who Lester was, so he had to pull himself together.
"Brother?" Hermes asked, popping up next to his throne.
Apollo screeched, and lightning exploded against the Appalachian Mountains. First, it was Artemis, and now Hermes. Thinking back, Apollo felt certain it was the Olympian Council's fault for most of what had gone on these past few months.
