This work (and the rest of this description) has MAJOR SPOILERS for Final Fantasy VII and Final Fantasy VII Remake, so please bear that in mind when reading it!
Based around the Sector 7 plate drop, this story explores the lead up to the mission, the mission itself, and the aftermath from the Turks' POV. How do they react to having to drop the plate, and what is the emotional impact on them afterwards?
Written for a female reader, this is a story with plenty of fluff and plenty of angst, generally a mature fic but rated explicit for the final chapter. Reno is an amazing character and great to write for - I hope you enjoy reading this as much as I loved writing it!

The space in which Tseng finds himself is dark, save for a single cold floodlight that conveniently illuminates the two essential features. The polished black marble floor on which he sits. The wall at his back, perfectly smooth and featureless reinforced concrete that stretches as far as he can see to the left, right, and above.
He knows this wall very well. He built it himself, after all. It should be a comforting image, this impenetrable barrier that keeps his work at work where it belongs. Except he sits there with his back against that wall, and he hears faint whispering voices in the distance, and something about this scene makes his blood run colder than the marble he’s sitting on.
It’s the meds, he thinks when he wakes up sweating. Once he’s off them, once he’s out of bed, once he’s back in uniform he’ll be back to normal.

So... Rude is okay with this. With living together, with working together, with just being with this cocky asshole he somehow managed to fall in love with despite absolutely fucking nothing about Reno being the kind of thing he’d ever fallen in love with before. He’s okay with all of it.
Tseng is clearly not so okay with it.
There’s no come-to-Shiva meeting over it or anything, he doesn’t make any comments about it at all and Rufus just straight up does not care because again, they get their job done and they don’t complain about it and whatever else they get up to on and especially off the clock is not his problem. But Tseng isn’t giving them that smug look anymore. Now he’s looking at them like he thinks he’s made a mistake.
