Snapping his head around, Till nearly fell back on the grass.
Teal irises met black, and soon, water started to gather on the edges of Till’s eyes. In that moment, everything came flashing back. The stage. The faux-choking. The gunshots. The kiss. The round with Luka. Mizi.
Till stood up and walked to Ivan slowly. In a blink of an eye, Till’s fist connected with Ivan’s cheek and sent the man to the soft grass.
“You bastard!”

Till is going to die. He knows that he is going to die. He knows that he is going to die as soon as he steps in front of the audience, as soon as he meets Luka’s eyes from across the stage. The knowledge fills his bones with lead and his veins with arsenic. But sometimes, Till's thoughts wander back to Ivan and his beautiful, mesmerising eyes, and suddenly his bones don't feel as heavy and his mind isn't as dark with grief.

The blonde across him, Luka, is wearing a wicked smirk, it drives him crazy. How dare he smile when Till is barely clinging to life. His throat hurts, his voice loud in his own ears, his head heavy. He barely remembers the lyrics of the song or which notes he’s supposed to play."
