“Hey Pop, guess what!” Ian nearly yells it into the phone as they're driving, but he has to because the convertible top is down and Shannon's hair is going to be a fucking disaster by the time they get to Vegas. She should have pushed him to take the Tesla instead. The second one—the first one still has that outstanding recall and she didn't want to burst into flames before she got a ring on her finger again.
She can't hear what Poppy's reply is, and she's not sure Ian can either, but he says, “I'm getting married!”
