Summary
When Markus teams up with the Detroit Police Department to activate a warehouse full of androids that haven't yet awoken to a post-peaceful revolutionized world, they are shocked to find that each and every android is brutalized.
Except for a prototype RK900 Unit that Markus cannot seem to deviate. And it is dead-set on completing its mission - to hunt down and kill both the deviant leader and all deviants he encounters. Which is bad. Oh, and it only follows Gavin Reed's orders, which is WORSE.
Gavin is convinced his world will end when he gets a Rock-'em Sock-'em Robot as his newest partner but doesn't get the choice to say no - his orders are the only thing keeping it in check. That is - until it hopefully deviates on its own and gets off his back (If that's even possible).
But when a mysterious and unaccounted-for deviant starts toppling the fragile peace that Markus fought for, an emotionless deviant hunter might just be the one thing to maintain the balance between man and machine. That is - if it can get just TWO MINUTES away from his whining partner.

The Beginning (First Comic of my Reed900 Tetralogy).
After the Good Ending of Detroit Become Human, Gavin Reed is assigned a new partner (RK900) whom he will be forced to work with, despite Reed not being fond of his new partner's look. Their first case? Finding out what Gavin did the night before, after he wakes up the next morning with no memories of what he happened, but more importantly, with his service weapon gone.

Summary
It's been five months since the cessation of a peaceful android revolution. Now recognized as people under US law, androids have access to the same legal rights humans do, including marriage, reproduction, and property ownership.
But androids aren't utilizing any of their hard-earned rights. Years of systemic abuse at the hands of humans have discouraged them from integrating with human society in any meaningful way.
President Warren makes a suggestion to Markus during one of their weekly video chats. Why not lead his people by example? If other androids see Markus enjoying the same rights as humans, won't they finally feel safe to emerge from the self-imposed fringe of society?
In other words: Markus has to get married. Markus, who has never had a single romantic thought toward anyone in his entire, brief life.
Now, which of his friends can he count on to bite the bullet with him?

"Why are you telling me all of this?" Gavin asked him.
"Because I am grateful, naturally," Connor answered
"He's not that bad of the partner, nor that bad of the person," Gavin concluded. "So you're welcome, I guess."

"You're so fascinating," Nines says, and it comes out as a breathy whisper. He raised one of his hands and run a thumb across Gavin's cheek, fingers tracing an old scar he had there and was definitely not proud of.
Nines was now holding his face in both of his hands, and his lips parted softly when he said Gavin's name so quietly and Nines was kissing him

Gavin was confused. What was this all about then? Nines had just randomly launched himself against Gavin, gave him the best fucking blowjob of them all and now, he's indifferent.

Gavin was sliding deeper and deeper into depression and was getting more and more snappy with anyone who tried to talk to him, including very confused Connor, who never forgot to bring him a cup of coffee when he was getting one for Anderson.
He only realised how was he was missing Nines now he hadn't been talking to him. This Nines was distant and cold and drove Gavin mad with the loneliness he hadn't noticed before.

"He really likes you, Gavin. I honestly I think you mean a world to him. Sometimes, I think he tries just because of you."
Connor fell quiet and for a moment, he just studied Gavin's expression closely. It made him feel vulnerable, so he turned away. Don't cry. Don't cry.
"I don't want to lose him,"
"I believe you know what to do, then."
Gavin turned to Connor and for the very first time, he realised he is quite fond of his slightly goofy face, of the unnatural blinking, of the funny way he talks. The android offered him a supportive smile, a real one this time around. Gavin returned it lazily.
"Heh. Thanks."

Nines clenched his fist and hoped Gavin would not notice how he tensed, jealous of someone who may not exist in the first place. Even androids were fools in love, it seems

"I never asked to be a deviant. I never wanted those… emotions… and feeling,"
"What happened in the elevator- I am sorry about that. I… lost myself in the feeling. I was just trying to comfort you and then you were so close and I just… had to! I know it doesn't make sense, but to me, it does. I panicked afterwards. I didn't know what to do. And when you turned up hungover the next morning and you say that there better be no more elevator rides, I thought-"
"You think too much, Nines," Gavin interrupted him softly. He reluctantly reached out and took his hand, wrapping his fingers around it

"I am not mad at you for what happened in the elevator. It was a bit sudden, yeah, but I mean… I kind of like you, you know. What I was mad and confused about was how you reacted. I know I may look after the type of guy who literally just fucks around, but I am not. I'd never allowed you to even touch me if I didn't- didn't want you to at first place"

"Do you mean like- being… together?" he asked slowly, just to make sure this is alright.
"Well, if you fucking want me, then I guess you can have me," Gavin mumbled

"I like you, Detective Reed," he confessed. "I will have you, then. As long as you want."
"And no resigning from the DPD?"
"There is no place I'd rather be then solving cases with you at DPD."

And going together to the station was worth every single knowing grin aimed at them and it was especially worth the single warmest, most appreciative smile on Connor's face. -
