Enjoy nights by the campfire, sharing laughs and tears, as the group of unlikely friends attempts to save Faerûn—and themselves.
This re-telling of BG3 will feature the same faces and places you know, with creative expansions on things I'd like to have seen, like relationships (romantic and platonic) that are as nuanced and messy as real life, more in-depth interactions between the people of Faerûn, and more grounded/realistic reactions to their environments and events. I'll be weaving in expanded lore from DND and will be incorporating images from photo mode. This Fic features romance and genuine love shared between friends, adding to the foundation built by Larian.

“Not the worst place for a first time.” Astarion runs his fingertips along Wyll’s sides, then cups his ass. Their height difference is more dramatic when they’re pressed so close together. Astarion has to crane his head back to look into his eyes.

And the goody-two-shoes paladin was the perfect match: dense enough to not understand much of his situation nor ask for an explanation, strong enough to face a Vampire Lord’s underlings, loyal enough to never turn her back on him – though he had to work a bit more on the latter part.

He crawled back to camp, stomach knotting itself with hunger, nearly doubling over from the pain, the need. He was thankful that no one had been badly injured that day - no scent of blood lingering in the air to drive him deeper into desperation.
He was also thankful that Jen hadn't questioned him putting his tent a distance from the others, though he barely had enough energy to grab his bedroll and drag it inside. He collapsed into the middle of the assorted blankets and pillows he'd accumulated, burying his face in them.
After a long moment, Astarion turned over so he was laying on his back, and settled his breathing into a routine pattern. Maybe, hopefully, reverie would let him ignore his hunger for a few hours.

It's been nine days since Astarion found freedom via a tadpole in his brain and being dumped in the wilderness. Nine days since he tagged along with people that were either annoyingly kind or annoyingly secretive.
Nine days of near-constant travel, combat and hunting animals for food. Nine days of slow, crippling exhaustion and a lack of enough blood to sustain him.
Nine days of being tormented by the memory of a drop of Jen's blood, and he was desperate.

Between the refugee crisis at Emerald Grove and organized goblin forces closing in, these infected souls must navigate not just external threats, but the erosion of everything they believed themselves to be. Some bonds will forge in crisis. Others will shatter.

Summary
Of all the paths, in all the wilderness, in all of Faerûn, she had to stumble across his.
After escaping the crashed mind flayer vessel, Kiera, a wood elf ranger, and her newfound companions/fellow abductees are in a race against time to find a solution to their parasites that won't result in their bodies and souls being ripped apart to give gruesome birth to new mind flayers. Unfortunately, it becomes evident early in their journey that it won't be as simple as they thought, and they seem destined to play the largest role in defeating the evil trying to conquer their world.
And Kiera has to contend with the fact she fell in love at first sight with possibly the most dangerous of their companions, the pale vampire spawn Astarion, who has his own dark history of torture, distrust, and pain. Then they save the Archdruid Halsin from his cage and... damn... Destiny has a hilarious sense of humour, introducing her to two of her life-mates when they're facing a world ending crisis.

Arrogance, religious zeal and a dash of bigotry lead to Lae’zel making a brash decision when she spots Shadowheart handling a mysterious artefact covered in githyanki script. Their duel is an inconclusive one, ending when the two fall down a well and find themselves waylaid by phase spiders. One finds herself rescued by goblins, and the other falls further into the Underdark, found by minotaurs. They are not kept apart for long, although they are unlikely to ever return to the rest of their party.
