“Shit. I didn’t mean to do that,” Trent lets go of Ted’s sweater entirely, reaching up to remove his glasses and toss them on the desk beside him, running a hand through his hair nervously. Ted feels a tightness in his chest at the loss of Trent’s warmth, not entirely dissimilar to the feeling of panic that he knows too well at this point.
“It sure felt like you meant it. And, well, it’d be a darn shame if you didn’t,” Ted smiles, anxious eyes darting up to meet Trent’s, questioning.
“Coach Lasso,” Trent says, and Ted can practically see the cogs turning in his mind as he tries to think of what to say next, “oh, fuck it,” he settles on, striding back towards Ted and capturing his lips in another kiss.
