In the silkiest tone imaginable, the Phantom said, ‘And so you might be familiar with one or two ideas I have in mind.’Raoul unwittingly draws the attention of the mysterious Opera Ghost, who is at first irritated and then intrigued by the Vicomte. Raoul agrees to spend the night with him, but after the Phantom has had Raoul once, he is reluctant to let him go.
This follows several of the events of POTO (mixing Leroux and ALW), except that the Phantom becomes obsessed with Raoul instead, who finds himself attracted to Erik despite the fact the man is quite obviously violently deranged.
