Very much a H/C read. M for certain scenes and topics. Eventual smut.

    Summary

Paris, 1880s. Christine Daaé came to the Conservatoire to study music, not to haunt it. But when her quiet songs in a riverside hotel draw the attention of an unseen patron, her life begins to blur between the living and the listening. Letters arrive without senders, melodies echo through the walls, and the city itself seems to lean closer to hear her sing.

But her patron’s past is not as silent as he believes, and the echoes that find her voice will carry farther than either of them intends.

A reimagining of The Phantom of the Opera set in its original era.

    Summary

The Phantom smirked. But he was not going to be put off. ‘You have been to boarding school, is that correct?’
    ‘I have,’ Raoul conceded.
‘And, I believe, you have been to sea?’
    ‘Yes…’
In the silkiest tone imaginable, the Phantom said, ‘And so you might be familiar with one or two ideas I have in mind.’

Raoul unwittingly draws the attention of the mysterious Opera Ghost, who is at first irritated and then intrigued by the Vicomte. Raoul agrees to spend the night with him, but after the Phantom has had Raoul once, he is reluctant to let him go.

This follows several of the events of POTO (mixing Leroux and ALW), except that the Phantom becomes obsessed with Raoul instead, who finds himself attracted to Erik despite the fact the man is quite obviously violently deranged.

    “You’ve heard of Erik, right?”
“As in the producer?” Christine’s stomach did an excited swoop. The man’s reputation was as legendary as it was mysterious.
“Yeah. What do you know about him?”
“I mean not much, just that he’s credited on like, every album that’s mattered in the last decade, and he’s supposed to be some kind of reclusive genius. Someone at a party told me they’d been to his castle in France, but I think they were bullshitting.”
Meg laughed. “Can neither confirm nor deny the castle, but the rest is right. He’s a huge deal, has a reputation for picking out new talent, collaborating on like one or two career defining albums, and then kind of disappearing back into the shadows until he finds his next muse.” She paused. “You know I don’t know that I’ve talked to anyone who’s actually seen his face.”

Modern AU, E/C slow burn in which Christine is an up and coming recording artist collaborating virtually with an unorthodox producer who just goes by Erik.

    Summary

It is 1931, and Christine Daae has been offered a position as assistant to Mr. Erik Leroux, the notorious and retired conductor-composer of the Manhattan Opera House. For the impoverished, amnesia-stricken Christine, the job is a boon and a lifeline: an escape from certain homelessness and a chance to work with the reclusive Mr. Leroux, who is whispered to have retired after being horrifically deformed in the same accident that killed his wife and his best friend. But as Christine comes to know both Leroux Manor and its mercurial master, she begins to suspect it was no mere accident. Haunted by the ghosts of Leroux Manor and her own confusion and uncertainty, Christine must uncover what happened to Mrs. Leroux before she meets the same fate.

    Summary

"She felt the strong impulse to look beneath his mask. She wanted to know who he truly was, and seeing only half his face felt... unsatisfying. After last night, when he had brought her here and shown her his "Music of the Night," the mask felt misplaced. As if it upheld a distance that was no longer needed. But she resisted that urge."

What if Christine hadn’t torn off the mask?

This story begins after the events of “Music of the Night” and offers a fix-it take on the original tale. Christine and Erik slowly begin to understand each other outside the shadows of the opera house. Their relationship develops step by step, shaped by trust, conflict, and growing affection. Alongside them, other key figures—Raoul, Meg, Madame Giry, Nadir, and Darius—play important roles as they each navigate the changes brought by Christine’s choice.
A character-driven exploration of love, redemption, and second chances.

Smut can be skipped, I'll put it in the chapter notes.

    Summary

After the death of the Phantom of the Opera, the Palais Garnier is thought safe once more. But when a new rat-catcher for the Opera disappears into the cellars and never returns, his daughter descends in search of him - only to stumble into the labyrinth and into the hands of the very monster Paris believed was long gone.

Erik, volatile and broken after Christine's departure, finds in her both torment and tether. What begins as captivity soon blossoms into something far more dangerous. His grief, volatility and desperate genius ensnares her in music, madness, and possession. She cannot deny her fear - nor her pity, nor the shadow of affection that begins to grow in the darkness between them.

To survive Erik is to know him - yet to know him is to risk never escaping him at all.

ALW post-canon. Raoul is able to give his wife everything — except for the one thing she wants most. Will a desperate situation cause his old rival to reenter their lives, changing it in ways they could never have imagined? Of course, or it wouldn't be a Phantom of the Opera story. Passion, angst, sex stuff, betrayal(?), True Love, revenge, messy relationships, but also kinda funny?? WIP with slow, but steady updates.

    Summary

What if the final act was not an ending, but an escape?
What if the girl did not choose the hero, but chose instead to offer a hand to the man the world called a monster?

The world has read the story of the Phantom of the Opera, a tale of gothic tragedy ending, as all good tragedies should, in sorrow and solitude. It is a legend of impeccable aesthetics, of a masked genius whose irresistible allure was matched only by his monstrous reputation. But that was the story written for the stage, a convenient and deeply satisfying lie. The truth is a quieter, more complicated, and infinitely more human melody, a life that began after the final, chaotic curtain fell.

This is the story of a seventeen-year-old soprano who chose to stay with a man drowning in his own despair, a man so convinced of his monstrosity he could not bear a simple touch. Her choice was not the love of poets, but something rarer: an act of recognition, a lonely soul refusing to abandon another.

When the applause fades and the legend dies, what music can two lonely souls make in the quiet?
