“Laudna” Imogen says, quietly but firmly and Laudna snaps her mouth closed, feeling a shiver go through her at the familiar tone.
Imogen steps in front of her, gazing at her fondly. She tucks a strand of white hair behind Laudna's ear and kisses her gently on the forehead. “Just let me take care of you, darlin’,” she whispers, and Laudna feels warmth spread through her, starting soft and molten in her chest, then spreading lower.
Laudna already feels her mind sinking into that hazy place it goes whenever Imogen takes control like this.
Imogen will take care of her. All Laudna has to do is feel.

Fearne has never been to a public school, so Orym agrees to tag along and keep an eye on her as she starts college. Ashton and Milo are both just doing their best to stay out of jail. Imogen and Laudna are new roommates waiting for the other to make the first move. Dr. Grass is a therapist specializing in trauma recovery who doesn't know how face their own issues, and Chetney is a grumpy old man running a maker's space very badly.
Maybe having an LGBTQ+ gathering will help the workshop's visibility. At the very least, it will make Thursday nights more fun!

“Shit,” she said under her breath.
The woman turned suddenly towards the sound. She cocked her head and squinted at Imogen’s tree.
“Hello?”
The woman took a step. She looked back at Flora and clasped her hands happily in front of her chest. “Do you have a friend?” she asked in a sing-song voice. She had a peculiar accent.
Imogen bit her lip. Her instinct was to hide, but this stranger would easily spot her any second now if she looked closer. And she needed to get Flora back, anyways. Damn it. She crept out from her hiding spot.
“Um, hi.” She cleared her throat.
The woman’s eyes widened. “You’re not a horse,” she said.
“No, I’m not a horse.” Imogen looked down at her boots. “Wish I were, sometimes– she’s mine, her name’s Flora.”
“I- of course! You’re much prettier than a horse! Not that I thought you were– I’m terribly sorry… I’m Laudna.” She held out her hand.
Or: An imodna period piece/semi-modern au where Imogen is still a horse girl through and through and Laudna's special interest is archaeology.
