Summary
Tseng and Rufus meet as teenagers. Over a period of several months their relationship slowly evolves. There's some fun to be had and some harm done along the way. This fic is set about 15 years before the time period of the Remake. I've chosen not to use archive warnings or too many tags, so please read the end notes. The “Oni no Kin,” “Midgar Buster,” “Red Mage” and “Hound of Midgar” have ravaged the city for years. Slaughtering hundreds and leaving no survivors or witnesses.
It all starts with “Death's” disappearance. A killer with clean methods: a single shot to the middle of the forehead. Death’s been around for decades, killing often. Once a month at least, with the record high being 20 corpses found in one day.
After 36 months of “Death's” absence, he reappears, bringing someone with him.
The Siren.
Just as elusive and just as deadly as Death himself.
Siren’s corpses are often found naked or at the sight of past attempted or carried out sexual assaults. The victims of said attempts are solid in their statements; they didn’t see anyone or anything.
In the coming months however, the Hound of Midgar seems to fall under the Siren's song, followed closely by his companions. A strange ritual begins, using corpses to communicate and conspire. It keeps the Midgar PD on their toes, to say the least.
Thisnis the Siren's story, from learning Death's song, to falling in love with four of the most ruthless men on Gaia.

Summary
A couple hundred years after Meteorfall, Cloud and Vincent are still around. And they start noticing some familiar faces reappearing, right at the same time that new WEAPONs do.
Wherein Cloud collects a pack of child versions of old enemies, tries to figure out how to keep up friendships with fellow immortals, and basically ends up in charge of the world. And this is just the prequel.
Note: This story exists to set up the second story in the series, but it ended up way too long for a prologue chapter. While you can theoretically skip this and start with the second story, a lot of the initial character dynamics probably won’t read as sensibly.

Cloud Strife has lost everything in his life. His home, many of his memories, his sanity and most importantly, his amazing and loving partners were all taken away from him one-by-one and he was unable to do anything but watch. He even had to fight one of them several times, his insanity having gone so far that he was willing to hurt him.
So, it is quite a surprise, even for him after everything he has been through, to fall asleep in Edge, get a small vision of Aerith smiling at him and wake up back in Nibelheim with his mother still alive and well as if nothing had happened. Soon realising he has been sent back in time, he sets out to find and save as many as he can
Except Hojo, Jenova, Hollander and President Shinra. They could honestly all go screw themselves for all he cared and he'd gladly make sure they would never hurt anyone ever again. He'd even sic Vincent on them if he had to. Little does he know that he will get some unexpected, but much-needed and appreciated help in his quest

Summary
Pre-AC, after the start of the Geostigma crisis. Cloud is traveling around the continent, searching for some way to cure Denzel (and himself), and hiding from the demons of his past. As he explores the ruins of an old Shinra lab in Junon, he’s hit with a bad wave from the stigma. He passes out, and when he awakens, he finds himself still in the lab...but it’s a working lab, in an alternate Gaia where the events of his world never came to pass.
Cloud is captured by Hojo for the second time in his life. Luckily, the Cloud Strife of this Gaia is a SOLDIER, and is sent to Junon on a mission with Zack. They save the injured and comatose Cloud and bring him to Midgar, where Shinra arrives at the conclusion that since his DNA matches Cloud, Zack, and Sephiroth, he must be the product of an experiment to create a super SOLDIER with their genes.
Some would call this man a clone.
Zack prefers the term "son".

Why Hojo? He doesn't know and he doesn't like it. The sooner that he can get out of it, the better.

Darren in Hojo’s body is such a fun OC, he’s just a guy and he’s freaking out and he’s trying to have a plan but mostly making it up as he goes along. Right from when he took Sephiroth out to lunch in the beginning I knew I was going to love the hijinks he got up to.
And boy did I love his found family with Weiss and Nero and Shelke and the friends and extended family he picks up on the way.

Summary
A young Sephiroth and young Aeris are saved by Ifalna. However, instead of settling in Sector 6, the already well trained young Sephiroth insists they should leave Midgar entirely. Little Aeris says she can hear the voice of the planet calling and knows which direction they should go in. And so, they head off to an unknown destination at the behest of a planet Sephiroth doesn’t fully believe in with a girl he barely knows but who’s mother died saving them both.
