In this world, ZENO exists but manifests only as a mild mental condition—cannibalistic urges still occur, but acting on them is extremely rare. Tsugino and Maeno are married, living a stable, loving life together. Natsu and Fuyu are alive and remain very close to the couple, forming a tight relationship.

He could slice Maeno open: through the skin, through tissue, through fat, muscle, and bone. His ribcage would be presented like a silver platter, heart served raw and bleeding.
