“Ooh, check out Jupiter Keen’s hair. That’s new.”
A sudden voice to Eret’s left makes him jump; turning, he sees a tall, handsome man in a deep-necked gold shirt, a deeper blue suit, and seafoam green eyeliner standing right beside him. The man looks surprised by her reaction, taking a step back and putting his free hand up non-threateningly.
“Woah, sorry, sorry,” he says, “thought you saw me, my bad. You’re… Eret, right?"
After the 67th Hunger Games Victory Tour Banquet, past victors Eret and Foolish are seen leaving together. Rumors buzz all across the Capitol - little do they know, it's the first time the two ever met.

Summary
Issac Michael has won the Hunger Games. He played them the right way, the way the Capitol expects. Pity that it matters very little how you play them. Even worse getting saddled with a mentor that is utterly unreadable and clueless.
But he has fans and friends. Surely they will catch him if he falls.Haymitch cut himself off from everyone the Capitol could use to hurt him. Including his fellow Victors. The bleakness of his life only lifts to more uncertainty as his fellow Victor dances to the Capitol's tune. He tells himself he has a duty. He tells himself he can do it tomorrow. But isn't tomorrow always a day too late?

This is a collection of 5+1 stories that are not strictly canon to the other stories in the series. It is very much fanfiction of my own fanfiction. “Say hey to the ferryman for me.” Issac mummers into her ear. He looks up.
The screen on the wall has apparently been focusing on him. It's probably because with the arena dark and the Parade of the fallen just complete, no one else is doing anything. His blue eyes seem to glow from his blood streaked face. His hair already matted with filth after only a day out there. He smiles.
Haymitch feels sick as the odds roll to 1:24.
Haymitch brings home a Victor. But he has some conflicting thoughts about him first.
