Summary
Daniels wakes up to the news that Walter survived, David is taken care of, and the Covenant crash-landed back on the same god-forsaken planet she was trying to leave in the first place. She and Walter have never been close, but always found it easy to be around each other. The more time she spends with him, the more obvious it becomes that they would have been good friends in different circumstances. In these? She's not sure yet, but she's determined to be patient for as long as it takes to find out. He is a synthetic, after all, but then again, he's all she has. She's never counted him as anything less than her equal. Time passes, though, and she finds herself thinking of him as much more than that.

Summary
Walter regains consciousness to the discovery that he is alone on this planet with David's creations. He begins efforts to clean the place and heal it of the plague's damage, but pauses these efforts when the Covenant comes crashing out of the sky not far away. Daniels is among the few survivors, and Walter dedicates himself to her wellbeing. In other news, there's been a strange bug of sorts in his system for some time now, a glitch in his programming, perhaps. He runs test after test, determined to find the source, but the results are inconclusive. There's something else, too; a feeling that rises in his chest and makes his throat feel tight whenever Daniels smiles at him like that. It's his duty to keep her safe. He knows that. But David's words haunt him daily. Is there more to him? Can a synthetic such as himself really feel?

Summary
The wind outside howled and rattled around the log cabin, making it creak and groan; rain pattered down against the windows, rhythmic and steady, a constant beat. It wasn't the first storm to rage on Origae-6 and it certainly wouldn't be the last. Two children were asleep in their beds, untouched by bad memories and nightmares; they were innocent and unaware of the horrors that lay out in the universe beyond their home, and they would remain so for some time more. They had been tucked in by a loving mother and father, and only pleasant dreams flickered through their minds.
The same could not be said for their parents.

Walter and David switch places. Walter, the newest and most advanced android made by Weyland Corp, is assigned to the mission to LV-223. David, after Peter Weyland is declared dead in absentia, finds that Meredith Vickers surreptitiously added a clause to Weyland's will that would assign David to their colonization efforts, effectively sending him as far away from civilization (and herself) as possible.
This is Walter's story. He is the caretaker of the crew of the USCSS Prometheus on their mission to a planet in deep space. Once they arrive, Walter must try to balance his desire to protect the crew--who are not making it easy--and his obligation to CEO Peter Weyland, whose orders he is unable to disobey.
