The sapling being destroyed was for the best Elizant knew this but it was still painful knowing she would never see her mother again.
She told herself over and over that letting her rest was for the best but was unable to get rid of these feelings. Her mind would often ponder what-ifs despite her attempts against it, forcing her to repeatedly remind herself that this was the best possible outcome and that she can't keep living in the past.
