Chance’s eyes opened. He stood up quickly, his sunglasses getting dislodged on his face. He looked around at his surroundings. He was sitting in a hammock, feeling a sway around him. The wooden floor and several other hammocks were behind him. Was he on a fucking boat?
Chance didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, frantically patting his body down to see if he had his phone or anything else on him, he slapped his pants pocket to feel a gun and a gold coin sitting in it. What kind of trickery was this? He was dead, he was stabbed to death by his friend, by his lover. He laughed, a sickening noise coming from his mouth as his hands went to his head.
A creaking noise came from the front of the room, Chance looked up to see several other people standing in the doorway.
