Truly, what are the chances, Seungkwan wonders, that of all the men in the city he could have run into and spontaneously connected with, he chose Seungcheol’s baby brother?
Unfortunately, Seungkwan is the type to believe in timing. Fate. Serendipity. All that other bullshit. He’s clearly being punished. Tested by the universe. Given everything he could ask for, only for it to be ripped out from under him in the most unfortunate manner possible.
(OR: Seungkwan accidentally sleeps with Seungcheol's brother, acts totally normal about it, fights fate, and succumbs to it— in that order.)

New York City. The city that never sleeps. The big apple. The concrete jungle. Whatever you want to call it, it's the destination of Boo Seungkwan's "I just quit my job soul searching trip," and everything is great except for one thing: he can't figure out how to use the subway.
Just when he thinks New York might swallow him whole, a helping hand appears in the form of a very handsome stranger. If rule number one is never to fall in love on vacation, Seungkwan might just end up breaking it.

"You can’t kiss Jeonghan hyung, Seungcheol will kill you. Dokyeom, Shua, Mingyu and Wonwoo hyung are out. I’m doubling with Jun and Minghao hyung because we’re the performance unit. And Hansol hyung can’t kiss Jihoon hyung because they’re like, brothers. So it’s either Vernon or Hoshi. Who would you rather kiss?”
“I’m not kissing Hoshi,” Seungkwan murmured with disgust.
“There you have it!” Chan cheered.

And one of Hansol staring at Seungkwan as he spoke. Seungkwan’s breath catches in his throat as he carefully read the caption that was in English.

The thing was, despite Mingyu’s insistences, Seungkwan wasn’t brave.
He knows this now.
Seungkwan was stupid. He wasn’t brave, because it hadn’t occurred to him that it would be a risk to offer Hansol his heart. He was stupid, because he thought Hansol felt the same way.

Summary
Boo Seungkwan takes pride in his work as an HR associate—he’s efficient, capable, and completely uninterested in workplace distractions.
So when Hansol Vernon Chwe, Business Development’s golden boy, starts staring at him in meetings, leaving him coffee with cryptic notes, and making Seungkwan question every single one of his life choices, it’s safe to say he’s having a professional crisis.
Between company dinners, office gossip, and one very unexpected mutual pining fiasco, Seungkwan is forced to confront the one thing he really wasn’t prepared for: feelings.
(Or: Vernon has been blatantly flirting with Seungkwan for months, but it takes a minor emotional catastrophe and a missing coffee delivery for Seungkwan to finally catch up.)

They were sitting on the rooftop of Vernon’s apartment when Seungkwan asked what wine would he pair him with if he was a dish on the menu of Haneul & Bada. Their legs were stretched out, shoulders touching. And between them, a bottle of Dark Horse Merlot sat.
“Something bright, but layered,” Vernon started, tearing his gaze away from Seungkwan because lately, he had been having urges of leaning closer whenever they talked and it was messing with his heart big time. “A Chenin Blanc, maybe. Complex, but easy to like, to want, and hard to forget.”
Seungkwan was quiet for a second too long, and Vernon wondered if he had said too much.
Then, without any warning, Seungkwan’s head was on his shoulder. “That’s the nicest thing anyone has ever said about me.”
In which Seungkwan was a bright light, always giving, never asking. Vernon watched- curious, then fell in love quietly, shyly. Years later, fate offered a second chance- not for Vernon to watch, but to get close.

“You turned me,” Hansol says. That’s what’s happened. He’s sure. He lifts his thumb to his mouth anyway, pressing the pad into his canine. It doesn’t quite break the skin, but it’s sharp enough that it could. “Did I die?”
“Not quite,” Jeonghan plucks the pen out from behind his ear, holding it between his teeth to uncap it. He picks up his notebook and scribbles something down. “It was close. Not as close as Channie, but close enough that we were worried. You’ve been out for about a month.”
“Oh, fuck,” Hansol pushes himself to sit, but gets so dizzy that he slumps back down right away. “I missed Return of the Jedi?”
(OR: learning how to be a vampire, flirting with homosexuality, and the summer of 1983.)

It took another moment for him to collect himself before he took another breath. “Chan, do you think I’m dating Seungkwan?”
The younger’s expression faltered before his eyes widened. “Wait-”
Hansol groaned into his hands, as loudly as he deemed suitable for a public space. “We literally live together! Are you serious?!”
He raised his hands in defense, shaking his head quickly. “It’s not just me!”
“Who else?!”
Or
Hansol finds out all his friends think he's dating Seungkwan, and begins to wonder why he isn't already.

“Wen Junhui, Hansollie’s manager,” he says. And, did he just insinuate that Joshua was the boyfriend?
“Hong Joshua, Seungkwan’s manager,” Joshua corrects, voice toneless as he can manage. He doesn’t know why this guy seems to think this is a joke.
“Oh, shit— you’re not the talent? Ah, I probably shouldn’t say shit—” Junhui cuts himself off. “You’re pretty enough to be an idol, for what it’s worth. I probably shouldn’t say that either— well—”
“Hyung,” Hansol butts in, voice strained.
(OR: Joshua and Junhui are managers of two celebrities that get pushed into a PR relationship. They keep hanging out on fake dates to watch over their respective wards, but they accidentally start falling in love too.)
