It was the scent of vanilla. A buttery sweetness that seeped into him all the way to his core until there was a warmth that flowed throughout him. Without thought he was following the smell, somehow able to see the invisible trail directly to its source.
The vanilla scent that was drowning him in its potency until there was no room left for air, was undoubtedly that of an omega. Seungmin’s true mate was an omega. Changbin was an omega.

“I swear I didn’t do anything!” Changbin whispered back, almost pleading. “I’ve barely even talked to him, let alone done anything worth getting the death glare every single day.”
Or, Changbin doesn’t really know why Seungmin started glaring at him out of nowhere. Just to find out that Seungmin is literally blind without his glasses and Changbin just happened to be in his line of sight.

Calculation is Seungmin's second nature. You'd learn to be good at it when you have very little control over everything else in your life-especially when it comes to being an omega with little money in a system that caters to the rich and the alphas. Seungmin has everything under control, though: finances, jobs, and compartmentalizing money and time. It seems so, until the equation becomes unbalanced. Until Felix declares a Christmas party — where Changbin gives Seungmin a gift so meaningful, so unexpected, and so horribly public that Seungmin does the only rational thing:

He bolts.
He maybe accidentally breaks Changbin’s heart.
Now Seungmin has to figure out how to fix something that wasn’t broken until he touched it.

Summary
“SEO CHANGBIN,” Felix screams as he barrels into Changbin’s dorm room with all the force of a freight truck, “when were you going to tell me that you’re dating Kim Seungmin?” He’s holding his phone out in front of him, the screen illuminated with a photo taken at the party the night before, of Jeongin being led out of the house by Seungmin. Changbin is a little blurry, but Seungmin’s form is clearly video, captured in 4k despite the shitty party lighting.
“Binnie? You’re dating somebody?” Changbin’s mother says through the phone, clearly trying to stay calm but the vibrations in her tone betray her excitement. Her face is suddenly huge, eyes pushed dangerously close to the screen in a comically vain attempt to glimpse the photo Felix is displaying. “You didn’t tell me this! What’s he like? Oh, my darling, I’m so happy for you - what was his name I heard?”
Changbin freezes in place for a second time, pressing the phone to his chest so hard he wouldn’t be surprised if it ends up leaving an imprint on his skin
“Binnie? Are you still there?”

There are clothes strewn around him haphazardly, like he was trying to make a nest but didn’t exactly know how. “I don’t feel good.”

Summary
Seungmin saved Changbin’s life and now Changbin wants to sleep with him. It wouldn’t be the first time it happened. No one is interested in Seungmin past skin deep, so the way Changbin parades around and shows off and pokes at him only serves to make him mad.
In reality, Changbin probably isn’t even interested in him at all, because no one really is, they all get bored eventually. Seungmin is almost positive that Changbin just enjoys being a nuisance, one of those people that gets off on it.
Insufferable. Changbin is insufferable. Seungmin outright refuses to get his beets from him. Certainly, someone in the Realm must be growing non-magical beets besides Seo Changbin. Seungmin will be sure to find them.
(OR: Seungmin needs non-magical beets for his newest potion; the only person who has them is Changbin, a cocky farmer who happens to be the bane of his very existence.)
