Summary
When Optimus attempted to call Bumblebee out from hiding, eager to bring him back into the fray of active duty by granting him the honor to teach the new Cybertronians here on Earth, he hadn't expected to get sent straight to voicemail. When he tried a second time, assuming that the scout was in no current position to answer him right away he felt a heavy feeling settle in his core. Upon the third ring, he forced himself to focus on the mission to rescue the captured newbuilds as time was of the essence.
He never expected to find his scout at the same location as the captured Terrans, nor could he have ever dreamed about his own scout turning his stinger on the humans present.

Summary

Although he didn’t let on, the long nights were beginning to weigh on him. He found himself getting lost in thought more, and his reaction time slower. When was the last time he had a full night's recharge? Not since he was in hiding he supposed. He had cared less about his own well being during that time. Whatever found him, he dealt with. But with the Maltos? That risk wasn’t an option. Besides, an extra energon patch would fix him right up in the morning.
Or basically
Bumblebee hasn't been getting enough sleep since he started living on the Malto farm, and it is affecting him more then thinks. The repercussions are going to catch up with him one way or another.
