You were a xenolinguist working for a crumbling department after the death of Grace Augustine, but since her passing and the rising tension between human and Na'vi, the RDA abolished funding for it, and you, a loose string who despised what they were doing to the natives, died in a freak explosion caused by a "faulty" boiler reactor. You weren't supposed to be brought back, but the Colonel whom had come to you to learn Na'vi from could pull rank on a few officers.
