Written for the Fathers Day prompt meme at Mpregwinchester in June, 2012 for tsubasalove87. Her prompt: “Jensen or Jared *I’m okay with any*, go into labor and get the epidural. While the J is pushing, he feels a tingle on his legs and when he wakes up he can't move them. Turns out the epidural caused paralysis. It can be permanent or the J can walk again after a lot of physical therapy. I want to see with either the emotions and how he deals with this while being a new father. It's up to whoever claims the prompt which one they do.”

When Sam left for Stanford, Dean was angry at first, but then calmed down and made sure to keep in touch with his little brother. Summary
“What are you laughing about?” Potter asks. His voice is unbearably soft. Draco wishes he would yell. Wishes he would throw punches, fight with him again. Take his wand out from his pocket and rip Draco’s chest open again. Leave him to bleed out on the floor. Maybe this is why Potter has been avoiding me, he thinks. Because he’s too gentle now and I can’t handle it.
“How weird it is,” is all Draco can say. “That you’re cutting my hair.”
Potter snorts behind him. “I can agree with that.”
When he finishes, he vanishes all of Draco’s hair and blood from the carpet. “Do you want to see?” He’s not looking in Draco’s eyes, just observing his handiwork, turning Draco’s neck to make sure it’s all even.
Draco should say no. But he nods, again, and Potter leads him to the bathroom. His touch is infuriatingly soft. Draco wants to grab his hand and bite him.
Or the story of how Draco Malfoy comes to befriend Muggles and Gryffindors following the war.

Summary
The Thranduilion features were there: fine boned, aristocratic, unmistakable, but they sat strangely on him, as if someone had taken a prince and taught him to live like a weapon, and now the weapon was being asked to smile nicely and call it reintegration.
Years after being stolen and dragged into Dol Guldur, Legolas has clawed his way back to a home that now feels like a foreign land. He doesn’t want a throne, he wants the South Watch and the anonymity of the barracks.
But they all remember the child that was lost, and the shadows of the South are long.

Summary
In a bold move in the feud between Erebor and Mirkwood, King Thror orders the kidnapping of Thranduil’s son Legolas, a child too young to fight back and the most important thing in Middle Earth to the Elvenking.
Prince Thorin, not even of age himself, finds he cannot let this stand, even if the kidnapped child in question is an elf. With the aid of his closest friends, he defies his grandfather and commits to protecting the young elf prince, no matter what that means.
