    A Breaking Dawn rewrite where Bella realizes her relationship with Edward was solely bloodlust, co-dependency, trauma bonding, low self-esteem, and predator/prey physical and mental hypnosis. She runs at the altar, goes through hell with trauma, learns to love herself, chooses humanity, and chooses Jacob. This is a character-focused and wolfpack-focused fic that leans into the psychological horror potential of Twilight. It is an angsty, agonizing slowburn. The Cullens are not cast in a good light. Dual POV of Bella and Jacob. This is what Breaking Dawn SHOULD HAVE BEEN, to me, anyway.     My take on Kim and Jared's epic love story. Twilight if Kim was the main character. Canon couples, mostly. Imprinting, but not on babies (bleh). Some canon divergence starting in New Moon, full canon divergence by end of Eclipse. Healthy mix of angst and fluff, tears and belly-laughs. (I changed the summary because this is my first fic and I didn't know any fanfic terms at first!) Enjoy! Please comment, I love feedback :)

    Toni’s eyes linger to the man to their right. Paul seems unfazed, maybe a little amused, scanning the clearing for his friends. His brow is furrowed as his eyes wash over the boys, and land swiftly on Toni.

    What an incredibly fucking weird feeling.

    It’s like something inside of her shifts into its correct place with a satisfying click - there’s something, and she doesn’t know what it is, but there’s something deep in her chest cavity that was off-kilter before that exact moment.

    To her surprise, Paul’s expression changes completely, seemingly instantaneous upon looking at her. She watches as any pressure in his brow seems to relax entirely, the man’s jaw dropping open as he views her. His eyes look so soft all of a sudden, the look on his face seeming possessed, entranced in some way.

    Entranced seems the perfect word to describe it. Before she can register what’s happening, the man has quite literally fallen to his knees, the look in his eyes nearing how a religious zealot would view an incarnation of God himself.

    Bella's sister Toni follows her out to the woods, not realizing Bella's about to confront Jacob and the wolves. Paul imprints, and hijinks ensue
