"Besides. Not my fault you're so tiny. Makes carrying you around way too easy. If you were gay, you would be on the bottom, I bet. Little bottom bitch twink."
Robert glanced up at him, looking very unamused. "Well. You'd be half right.” His gaze left, watching the cars going by.
“Considering I'm bi."
"Wait." Flambae paused in his walking.
It took him a good few seconds to process the words, staring down at Robert with a bit of shock. "Wait, are you actually?"

Summary
It had been a long and difficult 27 years since the Hail Mary had launched. Not as terrible as it could have been, but not easy. Humanity had survived and adapted, as it always did. There had been terrible wars. There had been incredible acts of kindness. There had been massive scientific breakthroughs. And now, there were two distant blips of Petrova-light, picked up by the Deep Space Network, hurtling home. Two probes, braking hard as they hurtled toward Earth holding the secrets to its salvation.
