“Otouto-kun,” Rinne called out cheerfully. “And your girlfriend! Where are you two off to?”
“We’re leaving,” Aira said before Hiiro could talk. He didn’t want to risk Rinne talking Hiiro into staying. He wanted to leave, and he really really wanted to get Hiiro away from this place. Already, he was drawing stares- not that he noticed, of course. He was zeroed in on Rinne, half-slumped into Aira’s side and half tilted towards his brother. “Hiiro’s tired, and I’m not feeling good.”
“Leaving together,” Rinne said, grin widening as an eyebrow shot up.
“Yeah,” Hiiro said, blinking innocently. Aira resisted the urge to stomp on his foot. Idiot boy, he thought, glaring at Hiiro from the corner of his eye. Hiiro didn’t notice Aira’s stare, nor the way Rinne’s eyes sharpened.
OR: Aira didn't think he'd be able to be with Hiiro, in this life or the next. But apparently, fate likes to keep him on his toes. But if that means Hiiro keeps looking at him, then that really isn't so bad.
