He doesn't remember throwing away the pamphlets. He doesn't need to name every degree of separation between what he is and who he was.¹ All Miles knows is that he hates himself, he hates his best friend, and he is dancing on the edge of a mental fucking breakdown.

Varang takes him by the hands and leads him into her tent, giggling just shy of manically all the while. Now, it has been far longer than he would have liked but Quaritch can read a room. Well, a tent but he can see the look in her eyes. The way her hips sway side to side like that.
He can't help but to laugh with her, a smile worming its way onto his face as he follows her. His men will be fine without him for an hour, he thinks as she wastes no time. Before the tent flap has even fully closed she's on him. Pushing herself up against him while simultaneously tugging him closer. Make that two.
